Year One Homework Page

There was much excitement this week as the children finally performed their Christmas Show to the school and their parents. The children loved showcasing their talents, we have some artists in the making!
Maths
The children have been applying their addition skills to problem solving this week.
English
In English, the children have been practising to write longer sentences using adjectives and conjunctions.
Homework - continuation
For homework, we would like the children to learn a short winter poem. The children will be asked to recite their chosen poem in the week beginning Monday 11th December. Please note that this is a speaking and listening homework and we are looking for children to recite from memory in a clear and confident voice. We would like the children to use expression and actions where appropriate. They have two weeks to perfect their performance.

Spellings
We would like the children to learn the spellings below.
These will be tested next Thursday 13th December. Please encourage your children to use lower case letters unless it is a name. Please also remind children to form letters correctly.
