Castleview Year 4 2022-2023
The two Year 4 classes have written their own Slough songs, using Ricky Gervais's song 'Slough' as an inspiration. We used the well known tune of Twinkle Twinkle LIttle Star and set their own lyrics to it. I hope you enjoy listening to the songs and reading the lyrics.
UFTON COURT
On Tuesday 8th November, Year 4 attended an event called ‘Total Vocal’ organised by Slough Music Service, and lead by Ms Steele our Music Teacher. The day involved learning 3 songs from scratch; ‘I’m Still Standing’ by Elton John, ‘Wonderwall’ by Oasis and a ‘La La Land’ medley along with 6 other schools from around Slough. The schools that attended were: Castleview School, Priory School, Marish Primary, Langley Academy Primary, Langley Heritage, Pennwood School and Wexham Primary. The children learned the 3 songs, with the schools learning different harmony parts, and performed them at the end of the day, whilst being recorded. The schools all sang brilliantly, and the behaviour was impeccable. Everyone had a fantastic time, and even had a DJ dance session in between singing workshops!
